My "Art Week" began with a lovely day trip to the Pèrez Art Museum. I saw a fantastic exhibition that is currently at the museum showcasing artworks by Julio Le Parc called "Form Into Action". It was a fun, colorful, interactive collection of works that were mostly kinetic. It was a great way to kick start a week full of art & design in Miami.
There were some great events that happened all throughout Wynwood for the week as well and I spent the first night out at the Wynwood Yard for an event hosted by The Dream Lab Miami. It was great to experience some great installations, live music, and good food truck eats in my favorite neck of the woods!
Another great set of exhibitions were Art Miami & Context Art which I visited later in the week. It was incredible to experience such intense visual stimulation from all of the different types of art from galleries from all over the world.
Color and texture were definitely a big theme that ran through a lot of the artworks that caught my eye. Below are a handful of photos taken of some of the artworks and the fair.
I am so grateful for the experience I had during the week and even more grateful that I got to enjoy it with some great people. Keep up with me as I continue to share my experiences of the Miami scene! I plan to see some more exhibitions around town soon– I can't wait to share that with you all.
